It is our desire to make a Lasting Impact on each resident. To do so, the staff have come up with the following eight outcomes that we hope to see in the lives of the homeless. Our aim is that each homeless individual/family:
- will have a healthy understanding of God, the creator.
- will recognize one's own unique place in life as God intended by understanding one's own personality and stress responses and one's own listening, learning and work styles.
- will be working to achieve financial, educational or vocational stability; have enough savings to move into secure housing; and have the ability to maintain living expenses.
- will be living at his/her highest independence level by working or volunteering in some way as a productive member of society.
- will understand the difference between positive and negative relationships knowing which ones to mend and which ones to end.
- will understand the vast destructive nature of addictive behavior and its triggers while developing strategies to overcome each addiction.
- will understand his/her own physical/mental health issues with a commitment to maintaining the highest possible level of physical/mental health.
- will be able to help others in need in a positive, healthy manner.
We realize that these objectives may not be attained by every homeless individual/family that passes through our doors however, knowing what a stabilized individual/family looks like will help the care providers and homeless indentify what they are working toward.
